Your destination today is the Emdoneni Cat Rehabilitation Center, caring for wild cheetahs, serval cats, African wildcats and caracal (lynx) that have been orphaned or injured in the wild. Where possible, the patients are rehabilitated and they enter a breeding program so that their offspring can be released back into the natural habitat.
Upon arrival at Emdoneni, set out on a guided tour to learn more about these fascinating creatures' habits and the conservation efforts underway to save them.
After a fascinating morning or afternoon, re-board the coach for the return to Richards Bay.
Notes:
Tour operates weather permitting. Wear comfortable clothing; bring a sunhat. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Viewing of cats is subject to each cat's temperament on the day, so you may not see every animal. Visitors enter all enclosures at their own risk; the cats are wild animals at heart, even if they are accustomed to people. Please follow your guide's instructions at all times and stay with the group while attending the show. Participants are not allowed to use cell phones or to speak loudly, as this will disturb the animals. Smoking is not permitted.
