With your 24-hour ticket, you can hop on and off the double-decker excursion bus at your leisure. Enjoy excellent views from the upper deck or ease of access on the lower deck. Extensive multi-lingual (English, Spanish, German, Italian, French, Japanese, Russian and Norwegian) audio commentary is available through individual headphones.
A circuit including nine stops at important landmarks, museums and public spaces allows you to see whatever interests you. Sights accessible from the stops include the village of Avaldsnes, which is known for being Norway's birthplace, the
Visnes Mining Museum, Norway's National Monument, the Haraldshaugen, the Karmsund Folkemuseum, and the Dokken Museum.
Notes:
Children under the age of 3 must be secured in a child's car seat on the transportation. These are not available through the tour operator; you must bring your own from home. Board at Haugesund Cruise Terminal, the stop is located outside the cruise terminal exit and the City Sightseeing buses will be visible. Wear comfortable walking shoes. A clean headset is issued to you at the beginning of your tour, and you will keep it for the duration. Buses depart every 30 minutes from 9am until 4pm. The tour is open to the general public; you are merely purchasing a ticket for the bus service and are subject to traffic delays and possible wait times associated with the service. It is your responsibility to return to the ship before all-aboard time. Multi-port packages and discounts for students and seniors are not available on board. Entrance fees to attractions along the route are not included. The buses have wheelchair-accessible ramps. Storage is available for one collapsible wheelchair.
