Enjoy a spectacular scenic coach ride into Taranaki Country, where you will visit one of the region's premier gardens. Enjoy hearing from our local gardeners as they enlighten you on how their gardens came into being and the various plants that enhance their beautiful properties. Learn about the unique ecosystem in the area and enjoy a guided tour from the expert gardeners. Following your walk through the gardens, morning tea will be provided in the homestead.
Next, you're headed to Okurukuru Winery. Enjoy spectacular coastal views, from the vines, which march down to Taranaki's surf coast and look out across the stunning Tasman Sea. Around seven acres are planted with Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Pinotage, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Chardonnay varietals. A range of wine is produced on-site and in partnership with some of New Zealand's top wineries. Enjoy a tasting of some of the winemaker's favorites accompanied with canapes specially paired with each wine, and relish the peaceful atmosphere far from the hustle of New Plymouth.
