Experience the natural beauty, rich history and local flavours of Kangaroo Island on an intimate exploration of the spectacular Dudley Peninsula.
Travel to Sea Dragon Kangaroo Island and Cape Willoughby Conservation Park, where a guided coastal walk reveals dramatic scenery and abundant wildlife. Keep watch for the Kangaroo Island kangaroo, a unique subspecies found only on the island, often seen grazing among the coastal landscapes you'll explore.
Continue to Cape Willoughby Lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in South Australia. During a guided visit, discover the stories of the early explorers, lighthouse keepers and their families, and gain insight into life on this remote and rugged coastline during the nineteenth century.
Learn about the island's famous Ligurian honey bees, whose pure genetic lineage has been carefully protected on Kangaroo Island for more than 140 years.
Enjoy lunch at Café Willoughby, where fresh local cuisine is served alongside sweeping views across Backstairs Passage toward Cape Willoughby Lighthouse and the distant St Albans Lighthouse.
In the afternoon, continue your discovery of the peninsula with visits to the pristine landscapes of Antechamber Bay, Lashmar Conservation Park and the Chapman River. Your day concludes at Dudley Wines, where a guided wine-tasting flight is complemented by panoramic clifftop views overlooking Backstairs Passage before returning to the ship.
