Travel along Stirling Terrace and through downtown Albany. Pass the Courthouse, rotunda and the old Post Office, which now houses the Albany Branch of the University of Western Australia. Drive past Middleton Beach and Dog Rock -- a large granite rock shaped like a dog's head.
You'll visit Wignall's Winery, set among manicured lawns and outstanding gardens -- the perfect setting for wine tasting. The winemakers will tell you about their passion.
The Albany Wind Farm is home to twelve giant wind turbines with a walkway around the base and sweeping views of West Cape Howe National Park.
Pause momentarily at the Desert Corps War Memorial, whose granite blocks are from Suez and bear bullet marks from the First World War.
A short walk offers 360-degree views over Albany, King George Sound, Michaelmas and Breaksea Islands, and Emu Point.
Notes:
Minimum age to participate in wine tasting is 18 years, accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older. Corkage policy: Wine purchased on this tour is exempt from the onboard corkage fee (offer limited to one bottle of wine per person). Tour does not operate on holidays.
