Head to Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak) -- a UNESCO World Heritage Site that rose from the sea in a volcanic eruption more than 100,000 years ago. Located at the eastern end of Jeju Island, the peak features a huge crater at its top, about 2,000 feet in diameter and 300 feet deep. While the southeast and north sides are cliffs, the northwest side is a verdant grassy hill connected to the Seongsan Village.
After this spectacular encounter, you'll visit Dongmun traditional market before returning to the pier.
Notes:
Approximate 1 hour drive to Seongsan Sunrise Peak. No guarantee is offered with regard to visibility or views on any particular day, as weather and atmospheric conditions vary and are beyond the tour operator’s control. Seongsan Sunrise Peak has two walking trails: the summit trail and the coastal trail. Please note that the summit trail is closed on the first Monday of each month. On this day, the tour will follow the scenic coastal trail of Sunrise Peak and continue to Seopjikoji. From Seopjikoji, enjoy sweeping views of Seongsan Sunrise Peak set against the ocean, with seasonal fields of flowers enhancing the landscape.
