This fully accessible tour includes a panoramic drive that covers the entire length of the island of Bermuda and includes a view of its famous pink-sand beaches.
First, you'll head out to Somerset Village, crossing the smallest drawbridge in the world.
Pause for photos at Gibbs Hill Lighthouse with 360-degree views from the base.
A coastal drive offers an even more impressive view of the South Shore beaches, featuring pink sand, azure waters, and an imposing barrier reef that encircles the island.
Watch for the Botanical Gardens on the drive to St George's — a UNESCO World Heritage Site town whose history is visible in its narrow winding alleys and cobblestone streets. Enjoy 30 minutes of free time to explore on your own in the Old Town.
Back in Hamilton, the capital of Bermuda, you'll have another half hour to shop on famed Front Street among boutique-style shops and restaurants. Return to the ship at the Royal Naval Dockyard at King's Wharf.
Notes:
Liability waiver must be signed by each participant before the tour. Dispatch team will be on-site to secure signatures before guests board and tours are dispatched. This tour is designed to be accessible for all guests, including those using a wheelchair (the tour operator suggests you bring a companion to assist, as guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs). Companions can book the same tour under the title Easy Bermuda Island Drive (Companion). The tour route avoids stairs; however, the nature of access may differ from the standards you are familiar with at home. Accessible bathrooms with wide doors are available along the tour route. An accessible vehicle with a wheelchair lift or ramp is used for transportation. The number of accessible vehicles available is extremely limited; make your accessible shore excursion reservations as far in advance as possible. Guests requiring accessible transportation, please complete the Special Services form at https://book.hollandamerica.com/specialServices/login.action; this will ensure that suitable transportation is in place for your tour.
