Enjoy Newport's rich history and scenery from colonial days and through the Gilded Age to the present.
A panoramic drive takes you through the historic district with its fine examples of Colonial, Federal, and Victorian homes, many of which are designated National Historic Sites.
Watch for Trinity Church, the Redwood Library, and the Gothic Church of Saint Mary, where Jacqueline Bouvier married Senator John F. Kennedy on September 12, 1953.
Continue along the famous ten-mile Ocean Drive for spectacular views of the rocky coastline. See where society's millionaires of the early 20th century built their grand "summer cottages" along Bellevue Avenue. The Newport Preservation Society has beautifully preserved the opulent mansions of the Vanderbilt, Astor and Morgan families.
