Take in the iconic sites of Darwin. Discover this beautiful and fascinating tropical city, shaped by tales, characters and events that are its own unique history.
The first story is that of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Founded by the Reverend John Flynn, it began its aero-medical operations in the Northern Territory in 1939. At the Royal Flying Doctor Service Visitor Center, you'll uncover a wealth of information about this vital service that literally keeps the Outback alive. There are two cutting-edge cinema experiences — approximately 20 minutes each — using the latest innovations in holographic technology. You'll have time to wander independently through the interpretive and interactive displays, which also relay the facts surrounding the infamous World War II Bombing of Darwin.
Finally, journey onward to see a massive B-52 bomber aircraft. It's the only one of its kind displayed in the Southern Hemisphere, along with military aircraft and other relics at the Darwin Aviation Museum. Watch the rare amateur color footage of the first air raid in Darwin.

The tour includes general admission fee to both museums. It does not include admission to special exhibits in either museum. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
