Spend the day sailing by boat to a beautiful island wildlife sanctuary. This tour is designed to suit the active adventurer but is equally relaxing if you're looking for an easygoing day out. You can enjoy a refreshing swim and explore hiking trails, perfect for bird lovers.
With plenty of deck space to relax, enjoy the sights and sounds of the Bay of Islands and its wonderful array of wildlife, including seabirds and blue penguins. With abundant marine life below, keep an eye out for stingrays and perhaps a hammerhead shark, dolphin, or orca whale.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. You must remove your shoes before boarding the catamaran. Participants must be physically fit to be able to transfer from the catamaran to the dinghy, stepping on and off the catamaran via ladder, followed by a wet landing and wading to the island. Wear aqua shoes. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking; assistance will not be available. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
