Set out on this voyage, where tradition meets expertise, to encapsulate the essence of Sitka's marine environment. Rooted in family heritage and Indigenous ownership, the tour operator's legacy of providing exceptional tours spans more than 50 years.
Today, your experience is an unforgettable glide through tranquil waters to watch the charming antics of sea otters. Known for their playful behavior, these adorable creatures often float on their backs, cracking open shellfish with rocks, providing you with some priceless entertainment.
In an open-air inflatable boat specifically designed for agility, you'll navigate through shallow waters and explore areas that larger vessels can't reach. This means discovering hidden gems and watching wildlife in its natural habitat without disturbing delicate ecosystems.
Keep an eye out for humpback whales, bears, eagles and sea lions. Your naturalist guide provides fascinating insights into the behavior, ecology, and conservation efforts related to the wildlife you encounter and the interconnectedness of the marine and terrestrial ecosystems in this special environment. The Sitka region is adorned with stunning coastal landscapes, snow-capped mountains, and dense forest.
