All aboard for a truly memorable journey and some breathtaking scenery on the Conway Scenic Railroad.
Your journey begins with an approximately 90-minute scenic motorcoach drive to North Conway, New Hampshire. If time permits take in the town's New England charm with its quaint shops, cafés, and friendly inhabitants.
Here, board a comfortable 1950s pocket streamliner — among the last of its kind still in regular service — with large windows for stunning views. You'll pass mountain ranges, rivers, historical bridges and trestles and climb an impressive 1,886 feet (575m) to Crawford Notch Station (1891).
Your motorcoach awaits you for the drive back to the pier in Portland. The picturesque landscapes of Mount Washington Valley are your companions.
Notes:
Minimum age is 5 years. Participants must be able to climb steps to (dis)embark the coach and train with limited assistance. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Restrooms are available at Conway Station, Crawford Notch Station and on the train. A meal is included. If time permits, you may enjoy free time exploring North Conway village before returning to Portland by motorcoach. The tour may run in reverse order. Transportation time by bus to and from the port to North Conway is approximately 1.5 hours and transportation by bus to and from the port to Crawford is 2 hours (may be subject to change based on traffic conditions).
