Aboard an open-air, island-style bus, you'll head to Leone village. Snorkel among the corals here in the waters of the former capital to see both corals affected by climate change and healthy, restored corals.
This tour offers a guided experience with marine scientists who will explain the projects underway to repair damaged reefs affected by climate change.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Participants must know how to swim/snorkel. Transportation is by basic island bus with no air-conditioning or PA system. Limited tourism infrastructure is part of the charm here; you are trading breadth of guide experience for authentic interaction. Please bring your spirit of adventure and bear with any language difficulties or operational surprises that may crop up.
