Enjoy an unforgettable encounter with energetic huskies and the peaceful beauty of the Norwegian outdoors. Upon arrival, you’ll be welcomed by the friendly dogs while the guide prepares and harnesses the huskies joining you on the tour. These lively and enthusiastic dogs are full of energy, so only a few accompany each group to ensure a comfortable and controlled experience.
Your adventure continues with an easy guided hike through varied terrain. The trail may follow gravel roads, weave through forest and mountain landscapes, cross open moorland, and pass over small streams. Surrounded by stunning scenery, you’ll find countless photo opportunities—so be sure to bring your camera.
After the hike, you’ll return to the kennel area to meet the adult dogs, the younger pack members, and, when available, adorable puppies. There will be plenty of time to cuddle the four-legged friends and learn more about the dogs and the traditions of dog-sledding.
Before heading back to Trondheim, relax and enjoy a cozy coffee break—the perfect end to a memorable day with the huskies.
Notes: Guests must follow the guide’s instructions around the dogs at all times. Good hiking boots or waterproof shoes are mandatory. Dress in layers and bring weather-appropriate outdoor clothing; the huskies like to be friendly and may jump up at you. The huskies change their fur in the summer, which can often make them appear scruffy; rest assured that these working animals are very well taken care of. Only a few huskies join the hike due to their high energy levels. The hike is appr. 5-6km.
