A panoramic drive allows you to view the main highlights of Oslo from land.
Then, from the pier opposite the Oslo Opera House, you step onto an electric boat to explore inner-Oslofjord. You will motor along the spectacular city shoreline, passing between exquisite small islands and viewing famous landmarks and historical places. Some of Oslo's best panoramic views are from the water. Learn about Norway's history, culture and social heritage from an app-led audio guide. Free wifi on board allows you to download the app.
Local food and beverages are available from the café on board (at your own expense) as you cruise Oslofjord.
Return to your starting point, where the coach waits to take you back to the ship.
Notes:
The coach ride back to the ship is unguided. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Children under the age of 3 must be secured in a child's car seat on the transportation. These are not available through the tour operator; you must bring your own from home. The boat ride is not exclusive to Holland America guests.
