Dunnottar Castle is a beautifully scenic ruin situated on a tiny peninsula and surrounded on three sides by the North Sea. Its story spans 16 centuries, as its chapel was founded by St Ninian in the AD 400s. It's one of Aberdeenshire's most photographed attractions.
