Ream National Park is a vast, untouched area that includes a mangrove forest, two islands, isolated beaches and offshore coral reefs. The National Park, established in 1991, is home to 155 bird species, as well as macaques.
A scenic panoramic drive includes a pause for photos at the Statue of Love and the Shiva statue.
Enjoy a 20-minute cruise along the mangrove canal with a majestic mangrove forest. Your guide will point out the storks that feed on the mudflats here.
Next, walk along the coast to Prince Island and its beach. Visit the Giant Tree and head to Ream Boutique Resort and its beach. A picnic lunch is served, and you'll have time to relax on the white-sand beach or take a refreshing swim in the azure waters.
Next, you'll board a coach for the drive up to Phnom Samathik (Meditation Mountain). This serene place of worship offers a fabulous view of the park and is also home to many medicinal plants, revered by Khmers.
You will notice the incense sticks smoldering in the rock clefts — left here to honor the spirits. Note the large pieces of rock with the image of the Buddha carved into them by the villagers.
Head back to the pier, traveling through more gorgeous countryside, feeling enriched and enlightened by the enchanting country of Cambodia.
