Escape by boat to the island of Jost Van Dyke -- the smallest of the four main British Virgin Islands. Jost (pronounced ‘yost’) was named after a famous Dutch pirate but was mapped for Europe by Christopher Columbus in 1493. Today, it’s home to the famous ‘Painkiller’ drink.
Sea conditions permitting, you’ll land on the glorious white-sand beach of White Bay, just as the early settlers did -- directly onto the sand.
Relax on the beach chairs provided, swim in the super-clear waters, and enjoy a cool drink. The beach is lined with bars, one of which is yours to base yourself at for the day and where a barbecue lunch is served.
Notes:
Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Bring cash for purchases and watersports. Beach chairs are provided. This tour is available on select sailings only. The ferry will detour to Great Harbour if sea conditions prevent landing on the beach, and a taxi will transfer you to White Bay.
