Experience the remarkable wildlife and natural beauty that make Kangaroo Island one of Australia's premier nature destinations.
Travel through the island's picturesque landscapes to Seal Bay Conservation Park, home to the country's second-largest breeding colony of endangered Australian sea lions. Accompanied by an accredited guide, spend approximately one hour observing these fascinating marine mammals in their natural environment while learning about their behaviour, conservation and the challenges they face in the wild.
Continue to a secluded location where wild koalas can often be seen resting among the eucalyptus trees. Away from the crowds, enjoy an authentic Kangaroo Island wildlife encounter while learning more about the island's unique ecosystem.
Lunch is served at a popular local café, where you can choose the island's famous whiting burger or select from a variety of gourmet burgers and fresh salads.
During the return journey to Penneshaw, keep watch for Kangaroo Island kangaroos, echidnas and other native wildlife frequently spotted throughout the surrounding countryside. Conclude your day with a leisurely walk along the Penneshaw Sculpture Trail, a 1.5-kilometre coastal pathway winding through the dunes of Hog Bay and showcasing an ever-evolving collection of works by local, national and international artists before returning to the ship.
