Get ready to explore Catalina like never before with the Fantastic Catalina Race—an interactive, clue-filled adventure that blends the thrill of a scavenger hunt with the intrigue of a live-action mystery. It’s like stepping into a reality show, where every twist and turn leads you deeper into the island’s hidden gems and unexpected delights.
Teams of 2 to 8 players begin at a hosted starting line, where they receive their first clue. Solving it leads to a new location and another clue, and the journey continues from one challenge to the next. The team that solves all the clues and reaches the finish line in the shortest time is crowned the winner. But don’t worry—while it’s called a race, guests are encouraged to go at whatever pace suits them. It’s just as much about the experience as it is about the competition.
Throughout the race, players will need their wits, energy, and sense of adventure to solve clever puzzles and complete fun tasks. Along the way, they’ll discover a side of Catalina that most visitors never get to see. And when they cross the finish line, the celebration begins. Complimentary beverages and snacks await, along with a lively awards ceremony featuring prizes for top finishers and plenty of time to swap stories and laughs.
In addition to the treats at the finish line, guests enjoy local goodies and fully paid admission to select venues along the route. The entire experience lasts about two hours, depending on how competitive the teams are.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes—you’ll be on your feet exploring the island, and some paths may be uneven or include stairs. We recommend wearing sunblock, a hat, and sunglasses. We’ll provide refreshments at the finish line, but feel free to bring a water bottle for the race. There will be additional food for purchase at the end of the race and it is not included in the cost of this tour.
