Hop aboard Stormforce — a specially designed carbon-neutral speedboat that allows you to sit almost at eye-level to the water.
This seabird-spotting excursion takes you close up to the 25,000 gannets, thousands of guillemots and hundreds of puffins, razorbills, black guillemots, gulls, shags and skuas at the Noss National Nature Reserve. Along the way, you'll discover the fascinating coastline of the island of Bressay.
The route changes each day, depending on the wind speed and direction, as your skipper seeks out the most sheltered waters.
Weather permitting, you'll sail close to the Orkneyman Cave and see the magnificent rock arch of the Giant's Leg.
Porpoises, whales, otters and dolphins occasionally make an appearance, and you will likely encounter grey seals and harbor seals.
Notes:
Lifejackets are provided and must be worn. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Bring binoculars. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
