Join this unforgettable evening, which introduces you to Arctic traditions.
At a local Sámi camp, your hosts welcome you into a warm gamme — a traditional hunting and fishing hut — to enjoy a traditional Bidos stew dinner with polar bread and coffee or tea.
As you dine, your Sámi hosts will share stories from their rich culture and perhaps treat you to a live joik — an ancient Sámi chant.
After dinner, see a lavvo tent and meet the reindeer. Capture the moment from the scenic Salen Viewpoint before returning to the ship.
Notes:
Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Children under the age of 3 must be secured in a child's car seat on the transportation. These are not available through the tour operator; you must bring your own from home.
