Step into a winter fairytale with a visit to the enchanting Old Town of Lübeck, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Germany's most atmospheric Christmas destinations.
Your journey begins with a comfortable coach transfer to Lübeck, once known as the "Queen of the Hanseatic League." On arrival, meet your expert local guide and take a leisurely walking tour through the historic Altstadt (Old Town), set on its picturesque island.
Stroll past Lübeck's famous medieval Holsten Gate and admire the elegant patrician houses, narrow alleyways, and the impressive Lübeck Rathaus. Along the way, pass the Buddenbrookhaus, once home to the Nobel Prize–winning Mann family.
Continue to the magnificent St Mary's Church and step inside to admire its soaring Gothic architecture.
Immerse yourself in the festive spirit at the historic Lübeck Christmas Market. Dating back to 1648, this traditional market transforms the Old Town into a winter wonderland filled with twinkling lights, handcrafted gifts, and the scent of roasted almonds and mulled wine. Your guide will happily introduce you to the market and will recommend seasonal delicacies to try (at your own expense). Enjoy free time to explore the stalls, shop for special gifts, or visit the renowned Cafè Niederegger to discover the world-famous Niederegger marzipan (at your own expense).
