This transfer may suit you if you would like to explore on your own. It consists of a motorcoach ride from the ship to Rome. You will be dropped off at St Peter's Square, where you will have approximately 6 hours to shop and explore independently in the Vatican and Rome. A city map is provided, and public transportation in Rome is readily available.

An English-speaking escort will be aboard the transfer motorcoach to answer questions en route. Bring local currency or credit cards, as most vendors do not accept US dollars. This tour is available only to guests whose cruise does not begin or end in Civitavecchia. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair.
