Explore Moreton Bay with a Tangalooma Eco Ranger introducing you to this wildlife oasis. In winter, approximately 16,000 whales migrate through the area, and new mothers and their calves rest here on their way to the Antarctic.
Board a comfortable catamaran for a cruise to seek out these magnificent whales in their natural environment. Watch for breaching, tail-slapping and spy-hopping -- just a few of the antics you might expect to see.
Informative commentary teaches you all about whalesong, migration paths, and different behaviors. Keep an eye out also for pods of dolphins, turtles, stingrays and dugongs, all of which frequent the area.
Notes:
Tour operates only between August and October. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
