Board the Seaworld Explorer semi-submarine and sit in air-conditioned comfort five feet below the surface of the water. View sea life through large windows and enjoy the dramatic effect of passing over a wall that drops sharply several hundred feet. See tropical fish such as yellowtail snapper, sergeant majors, parrotfish and queen angelfish, as well as delicate colonies of coral. Watch through your private window as a diver is surrounded by hungry fish that he feeds by hand.
Back on land, you'll cross the Queen Juliana Bridge for a view of Willemstad from 200 feet above the town -- a magnificent vista of the capital and the famous Queen Emma Pontoon Bridge, which provides a pedestrian link between the Otrobanda and Punda districts.
Continue to the Chobolobo Liqueur Factory for a taste of the world famous Curaçao liqueur.
In the Punda district in Willemstad, your guide will point out the major landmarks -- you've seen them on all the postcards, and now they're right in front of you.
Guests who wish to stay in town to shop or explore independently are welcome to do so but must return to the ship on their own.
Notes:
Participants must be able to negotiate 10 steps down into the semi-submarine. The vessel does not submerge. In the event of adverse weather or sea conditions, alternative viewing sites will be substituted. Minimum age to sample alcoholic beverages is 21 years. In the event that Chobolobo, guests will visit Fort Nassau instead.
