For Wedding Cruises with Holland America Line, a wedding coordinator supports you first during planning and then on board for a Symbolic At Sea ceremony. A shoreside coordinator supports you on the day of an Ashore or Anchors Away ceremony.
Here’s how the roles differ, based on the ceremony you’ve selected and what’s outlined in your contract:
Wedding coordinator (planning and onboard execution for Symbolic At Sea)
You will first speak with this coordinator when you call Royal Ocean Events, making them your initial point of contact.
They guide you through selecting a wedding package and completing your contract.
You can stay in touch by email or schedule a phone appointment as needed during planning.
Once on board, the ship’s wedding coordinator carries out the details of your Symbolic At Sea ceremony according to your contract.
Shoreside coordinator (day-of support for Ashore or Anchors Away)
This coordinator becomes involved if you choose an Ashore or Anchors Away ceremony.
They assist on the day of your ceremony to help ensure everything outlined in your contract proceeds smoothly.
