This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity offers exclusive access to several Aurora-viewing safari camps granted by local landowners whose properties offer ideal locations for viewing the Northern Lights. These private spots offer shelter, restrooms, and a warm, comfortable environment that enhances the experience and supports commitment to sustainability.
Each evening, the tour operator selects the best camp based on the latest weather updates, wind direction, and input from local hosts. If clouds roll in, you'll likely leave the camp for a mobile chase to increase your chances of successful viewing.
At the camp of choice, enjoy heated shelters, thermal suits, tripods, benches, and a campfire when conditions allow. A hot, locally made soup or stew — such as reindeer stew or fish soup — is served, with a vegetarian option available on request.
Although nature determines the success of Northern Lights viewing, you can optimize your chances with this tour, which offers a mobile and adaptable response to local conditions.
Notes:
Minimum age to participate is 4 years. The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon; the chances of spotting them are high, but sightings are not guaranteed. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, snow, inclines, gravel, grass, and steps. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair, for those with mobility limitations, or for those with a medical condition exacerbated by extreme cold. Bring a flashlight. Tour is non-refundable 7 days prior to the date of the call.
