Explore 1,000 years of Ceuta's history by land and by sea. A short transfer brings you to the Plaza de Africa and a monument dedicated to those who lost their lives in the African War. See the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Africa and admire the cathedral from the outside.
Continue on foot to the Tardorromana Basilica and hear a brief history of the church (exterior visit). You will also pass the Royal Walls and the Legion Museum.
Next, hop aboard a day boat, the El Desnarigado, for a scenic coastal cruise taking in wonderful views of Ceuta. Among the sights you will see from the water are the Moat of San Felipe, the Royal City Walls, South Bay, the former Prison for Women and the Castle of Desnarigado. You will traverse the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean while you relax and enjoy local stories of heroes and villains.
Notes: Wear comfortable walking shoes. Approximately one hour of walking is required. Participants must negotiate a few steps to board the boat.
