The highlight of your visit to Mandal may well be this boat trip along the coastline. The island-speckled coast — a route of unusual beauty — features tiny coastal communities with traditional mariners' houses, now converted to weekend homes.
Back on land, transfer to a waiting motorcoach for the second part of the tour to see the region's most beautiful town — Lillesand. Once bustling with maritime activity, Lillesand is endowed with a sheltered harbor and boasts a current population of 8,200. Its quaint streetscapes feature white-painted 18th- and 19th-century timber houses. Enjoy some free time to take in the atmosphere of this charming town, aptly named the Jewel of Sorlandet, before you return to Mandal and the ship.
