Enjoy a scenic drive with time to enjoy local farm gate producers on your way to the North Coast for a beach walk at Stokes Bay. Your guides know the best places to spot the native wildlife. Keep an eye out for the Tammar wallaby, the Kangaroo Island kangaroo (a subspecies endemic to Kangaroo Island), and koalas.
Lunch is served on a historic, working farm surrounded by beautiful native bushland, where you will enjoy a gourmet chef prepared picnic lunch showcasing the best of Kangaroo Island and South Australian produce. Enjoy a glass of premium Kangaroo Island wine as you hear the story behind the produce — a connection to this special island and its provedores.
After lunch, head to Seal Bay for a guided beach walk with endangered Australian sea lions — a truly special experience. Observe these special animals in their habitat while respecting their space.
From here, head back towards Penneshaw with a brief stop at Pennington Bay (time permitting).
Notes:
Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
