Begin your adventure with a scenic one-hour panoramic drive to the magical waterfalls of Huatulco, taking in breathtaking views of the Sierra Madre mountains along the way. As you leave the coast behind, the landscape morphs into lush jungle.
Take a guided walk through Oaxaca's vibrant rainforest, where you'll learn about the region's endemic flora. Along the trail, you'll encounter a variety of native trees, including the majestic Ceiba — revered by ancient Mesoamerican cultures as a sacred symbol connecting the earth, sky, and underworld.
The trail leads to some stunning waterfalls, where crystal-clear pools invite you to relax and unwind with a refreshing swim. Take beautiful photos in the serene surroundings — the water's striking colors are very photogenic.
Pause at a local handicrafts shop on the return journey. Enjoy a mezcal tasting while learning about this iconic Oaxacan spirit, and savor fresh seasonal fruit and traditional quesadillas — an authentically delicious way to end your adventure.
