Travel by motorcoach along Avenue Costera Miguel Aleman en route to the Scenic Highway, passing Acapulco's hotels, restaurants, banks, bars, and shopping districts.
After a short stop for panoramic views, continue through the Las Brisas residential area to the Diamond Zone and Puerto Marques Bay. Watch for the Black Lagoon, where the earliest Tarzan movie was filmed.
Head along the Palm Coast, you'll spot the Acapulco Princess Hotel, which resembles an Aztec pyramid, and the Mayan Palace Hotel. These may be the most beautiful properties in Acapulco.
At the peaceful Playa Hermosa turtle camp, baby turtles are waiting for you to release them into the ocean. Marine turtles are an endangered species, and scientists estimate that for every 1,000 hatched, only one will reach the adult stage. Release your turtle into the sea; liberate the rest of the nest and watch as they start their new life in the wild. Take time to appreciate their subtle natural behaviors and the beauty and grace of the magnificent sea turtle. You will be helping with the conservation of sea turtles — a truly rewarding experience.
Mexican snacks and a beverage are included.
Notes:
Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, gravel, grass, sand and ten steep steps to participate in the turtle release. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
