A scenic drive through Donegal countryside includes a photo stop at the beautiful Silver Strand Beach — a best-kept secret and one of the finest beaches in County Donegal.
Pause at the home of Francis John (FJ) and Meghan Cunningham to watch a live sheepdog demonstration. For generations, this land has been in FJ's family, and he has been raising sheep and border collies since he was just a gasúr (a young lad).
Step into a world where the bond between human and canine is both palpable and awe-inspiring. Watch as his expertly trained sheepdogs maneuver a flock of sheep with precision and grace. The dogs' agility, intelligence, and innate herding instincts are showcased through a harmonious partnership of deep trust.
Enjoy a snack of tea/coffee and scones in the serene countryside. Shared stories and observations create a sense of contentment and relaxation. Certainly, you will feel a renewed appreciation for the timeless tradition of sheepdog herding — an enriching and satisfying experience.
