This cultural evening offers a unique blend of music, history, and Arctic traditions, providing a memorable insight into the heart of one of the world's northernmost towns.
Visit the Hammerfest Church — a stunning example of Arctic architecture. Designed to resemble a fish drying racks from the outside and an upturned boat from the inside, the church's wooden ceiling creates a uniquely warm and inviting atmosphere. Inside, you'll be treated to a captivating organ concert, where the resonant tones of the church's impressive organ, with its 1,782 pipes, fill the space with beautiful music, creating an unforgettable acoustic experience.
After the concert, you'll take a short walk to the Royal & Ancient Polar Bear Society — a historical gem dedicated to preserving the town's age-old Arctic heritage. Founded in the 19th century, this esteemed society offers fascinating exhibits on Arctic hunting, exploration, and the town's deep connection to polar bears. View rare artifacts and photographs that highlight Hammerfest's role in the history of the Arctic region.
