Get ready for the adventure of a lifetime, journeying across this sprawling wildlife sanctuary to encounter some of Africa's most incredible creatures!
Depart on a scenic drive through East London, passing Orient and Eastern Beaches. Heading out of the city, enjoy views of rolling hills, farmland and traditional Xhosa villages en route to Inkwenkwezi Game Reserve.
Tucked along South Africa's breathtaking Wild Coast, this world-class game reserve puts an emphasis on guest comfort. Its prime location in the Eastern Cape region offers unmatched wildlife viewing opportunities, encompassing five different regional ecosystems and a tidal estuary.
On arrival, you will be welcomed by traditional Xhosa singers and dancers. Enjoy a welcome drink before boarding the 4x4 open-air canvas-topped vehicles. Then embark on an unforgettable two-hour adventure, to spot and photograph wildlife that might include white rhinos, wildebeest, giraffes, warthogs, zebras, buffaloes, impalas and the rare Eastern Cape kudu. Bird species include the graceful crested crane, secretary bird, ground hornbill and ostrich. Lions are housed in a large open-air enclosure close to the main lodge, where you can view them from the observation deck.
Following your exhilarating experience, return to the pier.
Notes:
Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations, as getting into and out of the game vehicles can present a significant challenge. The game drive vehicle may not be covered. Bring a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses and binoculars. Ride will be bumpy. Guests with back or neck problems are not allowed to participate. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Guests are not permitted to use cellular phones on or during the game drives. Guests are also not permitted to speak loudly or stand up on the game drive vehicles, as this will disturb the animals and minimize your opportunity for a close encounter. The Lions are in a separate large & vast enclosure.
