Aberdeen, the northernmost city in Scotland, is known as the Granite City. On a sunny day, the city center glistens due to tiny sparkling particles in granite.
Begin your tour with a visit to the David Welch Winter Gardens — one of the largest indoor garden complexes in Europe, with many rare and exotic plants on show from all around the world. Visit the Temperate House, the Corridor of Perfumes, the Fern House, the Victorian Corridor, the Japanese Garden, the Tropical House and the Arid House.
Afterward, rejoin your coach and journey into Aberdeen's city center for a guided walk past Marischal College, Provost Skene's House and the Kirk (Church) of St Nicholas. Use your free time to explore independently.
Step back in time at Footdee Fishing Village — a different view of Aberdeen that dates back to well before the oil industry became king. Your guide will explain how the community thrives in this very special place.
Please note: Tour requires approximately 1½ hours of walking. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces and cobblestones. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience. Headsets missing after the tour incur a fee.
