Experience the natural beauty of the Humber Valley on a rafting adventure along the Mighty Humber River. This route, running from Steady Brook to Riverside Drive in Corner Brook, offers calm waters and sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and forests, making it ideal for both first-time rafters and those simply looking to enjoy the outdoors. As you float through the valley, your guide will share stories about the region, including the river’s reputation as one of North America’s premier Atlantic Salmon destinations and the local legend of the “Old Man in the Mountain,” a striking rock formation said to guard a hidden treasure.
Your tour begins with a short transfer from the port to the rafting base, where your guides will outfit you with the necessary gear and provide a clear safety briefing. Once on the water, you’ll enjoy approximately two hours of rafting, with time to stop for a light snack, take photos, or even enjoy a refreshing swim if conditions allow. After returning to shore, you’ll wrap up your experience at the base before boarding your transfer back to the port.
This excursion offers a perfect blend of adventure, local storytelling, and unforgettable scenery—an ideal way to experience the rugged charm of the Humber River Valley.
Notes:
Guests must be able to board the motor coaches and rafts with little to no assistance. If you require help with mobility, you must be traveling with a friend, companion, or family member who can assist you throughout the tour. Mobility devices, including motorized scooters and collapsible wheelchairs, are not permitted on this excursion due to the nature of the activity. Because you may get wet during the rafting experience, we recommend leaving valuable items securely onboard the ship. Before participating, all guests will be required to sign a safety waiver at the rafting base.
