Travel 30 miles west to the beautiful Eyre Peninsula.
Along the way, you will pass Big Swamp, where the majestic black swans breed, and Cape Barron geese visit annually. You will see the Marble Ranges and Mount Dutton as well.
Farm Beach is the home of the King George whiting -- the fish that has made this area famous and prosperous. Take a leisurely stroll along the white sands as you hear stories of the local fishing industry.
You will visit the Dutton Bay Heritage Woolshed Museum, set on the shores of scenic Dutton Bay. This is a working museum where you can participate in a guided tour followed by a lovely Duttonshire tea snack -- all homemade.
Depart the museum for the return journey, with a brief stop at the Winters Hill Lookout to take in the sweeping views of Port Lincoln and Boston Bay.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Tour does not operate on holidays.
