In the riverside village of Franklin, stretch your legs and check out the wooden boats on the Huon River.
From here, you'll head to the Hastings Caves & Thermal Springs. A 10-minute walk brings you to an incredible underground world for a guided tour.
Lunch is a picnic made from local goodies, perfect for relaxing in the forest surroundings.
There's time for a stroll along the Platypus Walk or take a dip in the natural thermal pool.
To round out the day, visit Willie Smith's Apple Shed for a slice of fresh apple pie or a glass of their famous cider.
