You will visit the Zuiryuji Temple -- a pristine example of the architecture of the Edo period. Zuiryuji is renowned for its extravagant and elegant building style. Its public chamber, main hall and temple building were established in 1644 and are designated National Treasures. The intricately-carved roof and welcoming entrance gates were rebuilt in the 1820s after a fire in 1746. Explore the grounds and enjoy the serenity and calm of this significant temple complex.
Then, stop at Fugan Canal Kansui Park. This canal-side park is located a ten-minute walk from JR Toyama Station. Its vast lawns create a pleasant space for people of all ages. In addition to a square with a spring and waterfall, there's a playground and the iconic Tenmon-kyo Bridge.
Next, transfer to the Suiboku Museum, whose primary focus is on exhibiting modern Japanese ink paintings, or suibokuga. The word "suiboku" in the museum's name means "ink paintings" but also evokes the fullness of Japanese aesthetics. The single-story Japanese-style building, with a garden and a tearoom, is intended to be a serene place showcasing the richness of nature. In the permanent exhibit area, view works by leading artists such as Takeuchi Seiho, Yokoyama Taikan, and Hishida Shunso, as well as others connected to Toyama Prefecture. The exhibition rooms are used for a wide range of special exhibits focusing on Japanese arts and crafts.
Return to the gift shop to browse for souvenirs before you head back to the ship.

Wear comfortable walking shoes. You must remove your shoes in places at the Zuiryuje Temple. At the Suiboku museum, the interpretive information is in Japanese only. At the Suiboku museum, the permanent exhibitions may be adjusted to due to special exhibitions from time to time.
