All onboard purchases and services are charged to your shipboard account using your stateroom keycard. Cash is not accepted for individual transactions such as in bars, the shops, the spa, and shore excursions. However, Cash is accepted in the casino.
Setting up your shipboard account before you board
When you register a credit or debit card(s) (Visa®, Mastercard®, American Express®, or Discover®) during your pre-cruise check-in, it will activate your keycard for onboard charging. On the day you board, an initial authorization hold of $30 per person per cruise day is placed on your card. Once you reach that amount, additional authorizations may occur for the total onboard purchases to date, plus another $30 per person per day for the remainder of the cruise.
Please note that shipboard account charges apply to all guests 18 years of age.
Why you may see multiple authorizations
You may see multiple authorizations throughout your cruise, and some banks may keep a hold in place for up to 30 days. For specifics on timing and how available credit is affected, contact your card issuer.
Paying without a credit or debit card
If you prefer not to use a credit or debit card, visit Guest Services on the day of boarding and deposit $30 cash per person per cruise day. Any unused portion will be refunded at the end of the cruise. Traveler’s checks may also be cashed at Guest Services, however personal checks are not accepted on board.
Using prepaid gift and rewards cards
You may use a prepaid Gift/Rewards Card with a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover logo to pay onboard charges. To take advantage of this option, bring the card to Guest Services for processing once you have boarded (please do not register it online). Be aware that the card can only be settled up to the value loaded on the prepaid card, and refunds cannot be processed back to these cards.
Your final statement and when charges settle
At the end of your cruise, you can retrieve a final statement from the Navigator app, and your card will be charged only for the actual amount of your purchases. Refunds for onboard products and services, whether purchased prior to or during your cruise, are credited to your onboard account, and the final amount billed may take up to 24 hours after disembarkation.
Please note that there are no ATMs available on board.
