Join this guided hiking adventure along the Oro Verde Trail, a two-mile (3.3 km) path tucked away in the untouched wilderness just beyond Lake Los Palos.
Your day begins with a scenic drive to the trailhead, where you'll take in sweeping views of the lake, surrounding forests, and snow-capped mountains.
Once on the trail, you'll set out on a guided hike through lush evergreen forest, home to a variety of native plant species and local wildlife. Along the way, your guide shares insights into the unique ecosystem and the community's efforts to preserve it through sustainable tourism.
After the hike, unwind at a cozy, traditional quincho (Patagonian barbecue hut), where you'll sample regional flavors and sip on a Calafate Sour — Chile's iconic cocktail. It's the perfect way to wrap up a memorable day immersed in the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Patagonia.

Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, steep inclines, gravel, grass, roots, slippery rocks, mud, and many steps. Suitable only for physically fit and agile participants with prior hiking experience. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with recent injuries, limited endurance, or mobility limitations. Limited tourism infrastructure is part of the charm here; you are trading breadth of guide experience for authentic interaction. Please bring your spirit of adventure and bear with any language difficulties or operational surprises that may crop up. Wear sturdy hiking shoes or boots. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Bring a backpack to stow any layers you shed.
