This tour takes you to one of the islands of Lofoten, known for some of the most spectacular scenery in Norway as well as some of the world's richest fishing waters.
Vestvågøy is the second-largest island in Lofoten. You'll pass through Leknes, which is the administrative center of the island and boasts approximately 3,000 inhabitants.
Continue westward through the undersea Nappstraumen Tunnel from Napp to Flakstad Island. Your destination is Reine — the prettiest village in the Lofoten archipelago. Since 1743, Reine has been a fishing center. Today, while its year-round population is just 307 residents, it is firmly on the map for the thousands of visitors that come here year to appreciate its peaceful ambience and beautiful setting.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Dress warmly in layers with a wind- and waterproof outer layer; bring gloves, a scarf and a warm hat. Children under the age of 3 must be secured in a child's car seat on the transportation. These are not available through the tour operator; you must bring your own from home. Due to ongoing construction of the Nappstraumtunnelen tunnel, the tour duration is dependent on the tunnels crossing schedule and therefore will differ between departures.
