Head to the 18th-century Palace of Queluz, built in the style of Versailles.
See the thick forests and surreal architecture of Sintra that draw thousands of visitors each year to this old village resort nestled in the hills. View the outside of the Royal Palace, stroll across the Square at Sintra, or visit the many and varied shops.
Continue via the Ramalhao Road, passing Cascais — a town best known for its early 20th-century manors. Many famous personalities were fortunate enough to live in exile here and in the renowned resort city of Estoril during World War II.
Notes:
New transportation regulations in Sintra do not allow motorcoaches into the city center. Coaches must utilize parking lot outside the city and guests must board a shuttle bus there to enter Sintra city center. The shuttle ride into the city center of Sintra is approximately 30 minutes each way. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Use of an audio headset (included) will enhance your tour experience.
