Leave the ship in Valparaíso and head into the Casablanca Valley. This is the newest viticulture region in Chile and it boasts the perfect combination of climate, soil and vines. Your first stop here will be at a local winery, for a tour and wine tasting.
A further drive through the valley brings you to one of the best wineries in Chile -- Estancia El Cuadro. You will find the Casablanca Valley’s most complete and entertaining eno-touristic experience here, offering a comprehensive glimpse into the history and traditions of Chilean wine culture.
Sip on a welcome drink and listen to a live folkloric music performance. You will continue tasting wines as you enjoy a leisurely lunch.
Head to Santiago for a scenic drive through Chile’s capital to the Las Condes district. This is where you’ll discover the beautiful handicraft village of El Pueblo de Los Dominicos. Browse in the handicraft shops to see artisans working in copper, wool, ceramics, lapis lazuli and other indigenous materials.
Transfer to the Sharaton Santiago Hotel or to Santiago Airport in time for your flight.

During inclement weather, lunch will be served at the Club House at Estancia El Cuadro. This option is available only to guests whose cruise ends in Valparaíso, with flights departing after 9pm, and to guests who have booked through Holland America Line a post-cruise stat at HAL contracted hotel. If you have already purchased an airport transfer with your cruise booking, it will be refunded on board the ship, as this excursion automatically includes a transfer.
