Set out on a panoramic drive that takes you across the island. Skirting the city of Kahului, you will pass through the quaint town of Pa'ia. From here, continue for 30 miles along the narrow road that winds between the eastern slopes of Haleakala Volcano and the Pacific Ocean. Views of rugged coastlines and areas that have produced taro, bananas, and yams for hundreds of years are your constant companions.
Stop at beautiful Kaumahina and the Keanae Peninsula, and see Maui's black-sand beach at Wainapanapa, where you'll enjoy a boxed lunch.
Drive through the historical town of Hana and view Fagan's Cross. You'll start the journey back to Kahului with a stop at the hidden treasure of Puaa Kaa Waterfalls.
From a scenic lookout, you can view Maui's mecca of windsurfing before ending your panoramic drive back at the pier.
Notes:
Tour consists mainly of sightseeing from the transportation. Terrain includes uneven surfaces and sand. The route is winding and bumpy in places; those prone to motion sickness should consider this before booking and/or take appropriate medication. Guests who are pregnant or have a back or neck condition are not allowed to participate. The route may be altered in the event of inclement weather.

Due to ongoing construction at Waianapanapa State Park, there may be occasions when we’re unable to include the planned 30-minute stop during your tour. If this occurs, we’ll make the most of your time along the beautiful Hana Coast by providing additional time at other scenic stops along the way.
