The Auckland Museum is a neo-Classical building overlooking the picturesque Waitemata Harbour. Explore the museum with a knowledgeable guide or independently. The top floor details New Zealand's involvement in various wars.
A panoramic drive takes you past some of Auckland's most popular sights, including beautiful beaches and the cosmopolitan downtown area, where European, Asian, and South Pacific influences are reflected in the city's architecture. Modern skyscrapers and restored Victorian buildings coexist in harmony. View the colonial-style shops that line the streets of the Parnell Village shopping district and the dramatic Auckland Harbour Bridge — an impressive structure linking Auckland with the North Shore.
Your tour ends with a transfer to Auckland Airport in time for your flight.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Bring bottled water. This tour is available only to guests whose cruise ends in Auckland, with flights departing after 3:30pm (subject to change; please confirm with the Shore Excursions team on board). The coach transfers only to the airport at the end of the tour; no other drop-off locations are offered. Tour requires walking approximately a half mile from the coach parking area to the Auckland Museum. Photos taken at the museum must be for personal use only; tripods are not permitted. Backpacks and other large hand-carry items are not allowed in the museum. The Auckland Museum is currently undergoing phased renovation work. Most galleries are open, but there may be a couple of closures during your visit. Tour sequence may vary.
