Cleland Wildlife Park is situated in the rolling hills of Adelaide's Mount Lofty Ranges. The park is where people and animals meet and is home to a large collection of native Australian animals and birds.
In 172 acres of picturesque natural bushland, kangaroos, emus and wallabies roam free, allowing you to get up close, and even pat these iconic Australian animals. Wander through the walk-through wetland aviary filled with native waterbirds, stroll amongst colourful butterflies in South Australia's only walk-through butterfly enclosure, and discover enclosures housing koalas, dingos, reptiles and other native wildlife. Have your photo taken with a koala if you wish (at your own expense).
Your tour returns to Adelaide with wonderful views over the Gulf waters, the city, and the Adelaide Plains.
Notes:
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Due to high demand, koala-holding session times and availability are very limited and are on a first-come, first-served basis; be sure to check times on arrival to avoid disappointment. If the temperature reaches 32°C or higher, the koala close-ups and photos are canceled, as it is too hot for the koalas.
