The Boseong Green Tea Plantation lies on the southwest coast of the Korean Peninsula. The temperate climate of this region is ideal for cultivating green tea. This plantation was established in 1957 and sprawls over rolling hills up to 1,148 feet in elevation. The green tea fields at Boseong are among the most famous in Korea. The tea bushes blanket the landscape like a soft green carpet. From mid-April to late May, a gentle fog drapes itself over the rolling green fields in the morning hours, creating some of the most picturesque views on the Korean Peninsula.
Afterward, step into the world of Korean tea at the Tea Museum of Korea, nestled in the beautiful green fields of Boseong — the home of Korean green tea since the Baekje Era. This three-story museum offers a journey through the past, present, and future of tea.
